Futurebound by Kirkby Design

Futurebound is an ultramodern collection where abstract forms reminiscent of planetary surfaces adorn supple weaves, while a lustrous tartan and fluid camouflage appear on rich velvet. Glimmering metallics have the appearance of liquid metal, while a reformed damask and traditional houndstooth are modern reworks of classical references. Considerately coloured in a contemporary palette of luxe pastels with flashes of Sapphire blue and warm Peridot, these avant-garde fabrics are propelled into their own stratosphere.

Supremely confident, Gravity is a graphic, textural velvet that depicts an abstract design redolent of dripping paint, cleverly achieved through the use of tonal colouring.

A modern hint to a classic design, matt and shiny yarns combine to create a pixelated damask design with a contemporary, digital edge. A tumbled finish gives the cloth a soft handle for drapery, as well as a relaxed, casual feel, and an almost three-dimensional appearance to the design.

Two worlds collide as natural linen appears to have been dipped in liquid metal; the shine of the metallic tones contrasts with the dryness of the relaxed, linen quality. This is a wide-width room high product that should be hung from the selvedge as the design graduates from one selvedge to the other. The metallic detailing is intended to be displayed at the bottom of the fabric.
