Initially engaged to soften the newly built Chancery Green office space with a selection of rugs, the project morphed into a complete fit out for Donna Jones of Design Option, as the client hoped to transform the blank canvas of concrete, black, and white into an enjoyable and contemporary space.
Stemming from the word ‘green’ – a favourite colour of Donna’s with an obvious link to the company – came a palette of green and mustard, accented by splashes of black.
The robust fabrics with textured surface patterns which upholster pieces of McGreals furniture were key to creating an inviting yet practical workspace.
“The mixture of fabrics selected provides everything from soft, smooth, velvety Deluxe to the textural Esplanade, Atmosphere, and Fontaine,” says Donna. “I added Topiary for the boardroom couch as I love the pattern, which references back to the word green by linking it to plants.”
Additionally, circular and rectangular patterned rugs from Baya Living repeat the colours found within fabrics and a curated selection of artworks from the client’s own collection complete the space.
