Oryx Dental is located within the new St Germain development in Toorak Village, Melbourne. Previously operating from a modest practice in the village, development of the building spurred Oryx Dental to seek out new premises from which to grow.
Having previously completed front-of-house works for another clinic, interior designer Anouska Milstein of A.Mi was the right fit to deliver a unique and tasteful design.
The clients sought an aesthetic influenced by their affinity for Belgian and Parisian design. “We were challenged to create an environment that somehow struck a balance between austerity and grandeur, clinical yet warm and inviting,” says Anouska.
The primary sources of inspiration were French and Belgian designers Joseph Dirand and Vincent Van Duysen. A.Mi looked beyond their design aesthetic, reading interviews to fully comprehend their approach to design and find balance between their respective styles.
