Kendari is a lighter weight, plain textured weave reminiscent of a tussah silk, with its characteristic slub texture. Kendari has the added practicality of being a viscose polyester fabric. Coloured in a carefully considered palette of subtle neutrals and earthy hues through to jewel brights, this textured plain adds refinement and body to all styles of drapery. Kendari has the look and feel of natural silk. To achieve this look the fabric has been woven with a fancy polyester yarn which replicates the look of a slubby silk yarn. These yarns are then woven on a hand loom which gives a variation in texture and adds to the intended look.
