A uniquely luxurious textile, velvet is a cut warp pile fabric which can be woven from a wide variety of fibres including natural silk or cotton, regenerated fibres like viscose, and complex synthetic blends.

Many high-performance velvets have been developed which are not only washable but also offer properties like stain and UV resistance and fire retardance, making velvet a superior solution for both commercial and residential specification.
